Ideas – Master Bathroom

We are going to have some FUN with the master bathroom. Located off the master bedroom, this bathroom will have dual sinks, a separate shower/toilet compartment, hidden mirror TV, and oodles of storage.

During our last remodel of our current house, we added a TV behind the mirror. It is pretty cool. We can watch the news while getting ready in the morning or evening. In this bathroom, we are going to make it easier to switch out the TV if there are problems.

We are also installing a giant storage unit in the back wall… to our back when we are standing at the bathroom sinks. The unit won’t be deep, but should offer storage of the zillions of bathroom products we seem to have collected.

I’ll be using an Ikea PAX shallow wardrobe unit and modifying it to be even shollower. I’m thinking of 6 to 8 inches deep to fit in the wall. (The PAX unit is currently 18″ deep.) I’ll trim down the frame and cabinet shelves then redrill the back cabinet holes. It will have large sliding doors with translucent glass.

I’ll be adding another large storage unit for towels and other essentials. Probably one of the Ikea kitchen storage units.
