Upstairs Master Bedroom – Construction/destruction begins
What started out as a leak in the ceiling… ended up being a GIANT renovation. We had a leak in the roof that went through into the bedroom So… when the contractor started to fix the ceiling, he noticed the electrical didn’t meet code. So… the electrician started rewiring the ceiling fixture. He noticed that the wiring to the switch needed updating. So… the electrician...
Guest Bedroom
The guest bedroom downstairs will remain almost intact. I’ll be changing the closet and the door into the bathroom but everything else will remain the same. This bedroom has a pretty cool closet that goes through into the entryway. (There is a hidden door in the entry.)
Living Room
The living room will be one of our last projects. I’d love to remove the current brick fireplace and put in a more vintage one.
Kitchen
We are still in the process of trying to come up with the perfect kitchen design. Currently, there is a U shape kitchen that is fairly functional. The refrigerator pokes out into the middle of the kitchen and blocks the basic flow. I’m hoping we can recess it into the wall.
Guest On-Suite Bathroom
The existing walk through bathroom will be converted into two bathrooms. A small half-bath and on on-suite bathroom for the guest bedroom.
Guest Half Bath
I’m planning taking one of the existing large bathrooms and dividing it into a small half-bath and an on-suite bathroom.
Upstairs Office
Upstairs is a room that would be a very small bedroom or a great office. It has a giant window with a beautiful view of the yard and valley.
Upstairs Guest Bedroom
The guest bedroom upstairs will have a Murphy style bed instead of the bed that shows in the images.
Upstairs Bathroom
We are trying to keep the style of the vintage house with our upstairs bathroom. The sink will be a re-purposed antique wash table. We are installing a vintage tub and an old style toilet with the tank on the wall.
